Hello everyone,

Happy Tuesday, we are back on our regular schedule after a few weeks of dealing with health issues and having my family here. I have officially been diagnosed with EDS, which sucks as a chef because I cannot be on my feet as much as I used to be. I need to figure out how to make money now and that is something that stresses me out more than anything, since I have a family to take care of.

I am not one to tell other people to do this, but I will probably just say screw my bones and joints and just keep doing what I need to do because honestly, I have no choice.

Anyway, we made vegan apple chili today and honestly, it was DELICIOUS! I did not miss the meat at all; it really felt like there was still meat in it; which is CRAZY! I definitely say, please go eat it now!

Don’t forget to head over to the Cooking Show for more tips and to ask questions!

Just a few tips; use more water to make it thinner if you need it to be. Also, it’s much easier to make with the InstantPot over stovetop, but I do know that a lot of you guys don’t have an Instant Pot, so I included both!

ingredients: • 1/4th onion; minced • 4 cloves garlic; minced • 2 apples(green for more tart or fugi for sweeter); diced • 1 can tomato sauce • 3 roma tomatoes; diced • 1/2 cup dried pinto or kidney beans • 4 cups vegetable broth • 1 cup water • 2 tsp oil • 1 Tbsp chill powder • Itsp smoked paprika • ½ Tbsp cumin • 1 tsp cinnamon • Salt and pepper to taste (1 tsp at a time while tasting) supplies: • medium stock pot or an instant pot • chef's knife • measuring spoons/cups • wooden spoon recipe: • Instant Pot Directions • Misen Place everything; meaning cut everything and measure out what you can • put your IP on sautee and add your oil and onions; sautee for about 1 minute; add your garlic and apples saute for 2 more minutes • add the rest of your ingredients • Put IP on High pressure for 60 minutes • Stove Top Directions • Misen Place everything • Put your pot on medium/low heat and add your oil and onions; saute for 2 minutes while stirring a little • Add garlic and apples; continue Sauteeing for about 2 minutes while stirring • add the rest of your ingredients and bring up to a boil; allow to boil for 90 minutes • Make sure to check every 20 or so minutes and add water if it seems too thick

Thank you so much for reading this and hopefully cooking along with me! Don’t forget to go follow the Cooking Show! We want to see you cooking with me while learning the history behind the food. There is just something so beautiful about learning to appreciate a meal that you make with your hands, a meal that has been made by millions of people before you, that started somewhere completely different.

If this is your vibe you can find more on Threads and my Discord. These are the places that you can interact with me and tell me what you want to see on the show or in the blog!

And don’t forget to subscribe to the blog!

Thank you again for being here! Have a wonderful day and we will see each other again very, very soon! And don’t forget, even when you don’t believe in yourself, I believe in you. You are cool, you’re amazing, you’re talented, and you are where you are supposed to be. One day your circumstances will be different and that will be okay to, but you will always have Momnoms in your corner ❤
