Happy Monday everyone!
I decided to do something a little different in order to help all of you with your busy weeks. I know that a lot of people want to eat at home, but coming up with something to eat everyday can be daunting; so I’m giving you a glimpse into my daily life a chef who has to cook at home for their family. Sometimes, I lose my love of food just because I have to do it too much.
So you know, if I want to help people to love food again and appreciate it, we might as well give some meal plans that can help you not be as stressed out about the food.
So here are some tips for if you are meal planning, because this can seem as if it will cost too much or take too much time.
To save money eat a protein more than once, it helps you buy in bulk which can save you money
Don’t be afraid of frozen produce, less food waste and you don’t lose any nutrients
Utilize the tools you have: Want to make Instant Pot meals? Go for it. Got an air fryer, you can use it! You do NOT need to be chained to the stove
If you don’t want to keep fresh garlic or onions on hand, feel free to use substitutes
Remember that a recipe is a guide, if you don’t eat something? Switch it with something that you eat. I love zucchini, but if I didn’t, I could switch it with another vegetable that I love
Bring a list with you to the grocery store and don’t be afraid of sale items, they can help you try new foods, but also they can save you on what you do like cooking
Figure out how much time that you want to spend on cooking; each of these meals are 15-45 minutes to make
