Hello everyone,

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope that your week is treating you really well so far. It feels like it should already be Friday because I have been so busy. I’m ready for Wednesday night so that I can lounge, play video games, and hang out with my husband. My brain is super dead right now.

On Tuesdays we are doing struggle meals on the Momnoms Show and to me a burger really embodies a struggle meal that is so freaking tasty to eat and helps you to feel a little more like yourself after eating it. If done correctly it has a lot of flavor, great texture, and is absolutely amazing. Not only that, but in about 40 minutes you can make your own amazing and soft buns that help elevate it to a $20 burger at some weird steak house.

A little history on this dish; While hamburger patties come from Hamburg, hamburgers that we know today are undoubtedly an American creation!

They came around over 100 years ago during WW1; they were cheap to make, easy to eat, and even easier for soldiers who were requiring something with a little more protein than they were getting.

In the early 1930s when fast food started to make a come around; these delicious little sandwiches really made their public debut. They were cheap for the restaurants to make and really appealed to people with little to no money and those who were traveling.

As fast food started to grow around the world, so did the concept of the hamburger. Each country has their own form now, but it all stems from that cheap food that Americans would get when they were out and about.

Just a few tips; be creative with this food. Top it with whatever cheese, sauce, or topping that makes your heart sing. We made tempura onion rings for the side and topped it with lettuce, secret sauce, tomatoes, and fried onions and it was DELICIOUS. For the buns, just make sure that you proof it enough so that they’re super fluffy and delicious.

Thank you so much for reading this and hopefully cooking along with me! Don’t forget to go follow the Cooking Show! We want to see you cooking with me while learning the history behind the food. There is just something so beautiful about learning to appreciate a meal that you make with your hands, a meal that has been made by millions of people before you, that started somewhere completely different.

If this is your vibe you can find more on Threads and my Discord. These are the places that you can interact with me and tell me what you want to see on the show or in the blog!

And don’t forget to subscribe to the blog!

Thank you again for being here! Have a wonderful day and we will see each other again very, very soon! And don’t forget, even when you don’t believe in yourself, I believe in you. You are cool, you’re amazing, you’re talented, and you are where you are supposed to be. One day your circumstances will be different and that will be okay to, but you will always have Momnoms in your corner
