Giant Giant Clam Chowder and Bread Bowl; recipe created for a Super Animal Royale Cookbook!

When we decided to bring Momnoms back, we thought that it would be really cool to go through one of my favorite games and start making the food from it.

I had asked the devs to do an official cookbook in the past, but it wasn’t something that they could do at the time, so I’m just taking it into my own hands and creating the cookbook myself.

This is a cute, super free game (where I married my husband) and they just came out with a new update. In that update there were many new dishes added and the ability to see what is happening IN the restaurants themselves! It’s very cool.

We decided since it’s so cold that we needed to do something warm and spicy, so we headed over to Super Sealand and stole the Giant Giant Clam Chowder; obviously it has a little heat to make it even better for those long game nights!

Giant Giant Clam Chowder

Amazingly warm and spicy New England Clam Chowder that will help you to gain the energy to get through the week. Full of flavor!

Items Needed

  • A big stock pot

  • Whisk

  • Chef’s Knife

  • Ladle

Ingredients

  • ¼ sweet onion; chopped

  • 4 potatoes; chopped

  • 4 slices of bacon

  • 2 cans baby clams (or 20 fresh clams)

  • ¼ cup clam juice

  • 1 cup water

  • 2 cups water

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1-2tbs salt and pepper (to taste)

  • 1 tbs sage

  • ½ tbs rosemary

  • 1 tbs gochujang

Directions

  • Heat pot to a medium low heat; add in onions and bacon

    • Cook till onions are translucent and bacon is slightly crunchy

  • Add all seasoning and mix together

  • Deglaze your pan with your clam juice

  • Add water, cream, and potatoes; bring to a simmer and lower the heat for 20 minutes

  • Add in the clams and simmer for 10 more minutes

  • Serve with thai chilis and green onions or your favorite breads!

Bread Bowl

Items needed

  • Stand mixer with dough hook or hand mixer

  • Bowl

  • Bread pan or cast iron pan

Ingredients

  • 3 cups warm water

  • 2 tbs active dry yeast

  • 1 tbs sugar

  • 1 tbs salt

  • ½ tbs rosemary

  • ½ tbs garlic powder

Directions

  • Preheat oven for 500ºF

  • Add water and yeast into a bowl; let set for at least 10 minutes or until bubbling

  • Mix in the rest of the ingredient; knead until you make a stretchy and shiny dough

  • Cover with wet kitchen towel and allow to rise at least 30 minutes or until doubled in size

  • Grease pan you’re cooking in with butter and put your dough in it; cover and allow to rise for 10 more minutes

  • Cook in oven for 2 minutes, lower temp to 425ºF and continue to bake for 18 more minutes

  • Let rest and cut off the top; scoop out the middle, add the soup, and enjoy!
