True Love's Rosé

Yesterday I was stressing over what kind of drink that I wanted to make.  I get like this a lot, I have stuff written down, but I never know exactly what it is that I want.

Do you ever get like that?

It’s really annoying.

I knew I wanted something brunchy, sweet, and perfect for a Valentine’s Day brunch.  I started thinking of all the mimosa’s that I have ever had and decided that none of them were good enough for this specific post.

B and I were out for one of our long walks and this is all that I could think of.  We went to the grocery store and it finally hit me.

I needed something sweet, tart, and pink.  I needed grapefruit juice.

Okay, step one done.

But what goes with grapefruit juice.  I could use a regular sparkling wine or white wine, but that just seems so simple.

A rosé.

Perfect, especially since the rose means so much during this time of year.

sweet, fragrant in small doses.”
