Part on of the MomNoms Caffeinated Series.  It takes a lot to get through a day with a kid, I tell you my favorite ways to stay up!

As a mom, I feel that I consume more caffeine than I ever had.

It is really hard to keep up with an almost 1 year old.

Especially days where all he wants to do is cry, be in my arms, or on me.  It can be exhausting!

I’m doing a multi-part series on my favorite coffee, teas, and caffeine products.

First thing I would like to do is introduce you to my coffee, this brand of coffee has been my go to for about 8 years now, ever since I lived in Austin.

I found it at this really awesome coffee shop called Kick Butt Coffee, I would go there every day.

They sold this brand called Katz and at the time, I was unfamiliar with pretty much everything except Starbucks and grocery store brands.

They were running a special, buy 3 get 1 free.

So I started my journey with whole bean coffee.

I used to drink it black.

But since after giving birth, my tastes have changed a little bit.  I like a little stevia and frothed milk.

Every morning, I grind about 20 grams of coffee, put it into my Aeropress, put water into the kettle, and froth the milk.

It’s like having a nice latte.

Right now I am drinking The Jumping Mouse.  It’s a dark blend.  Has a cherry nose, nutty taste, and a bold flavor.  Drinking it black, lemon cakes bring out the flavors a lot more.  I would pair it with all of the citrus baked goods!

My absolute favorite is their Bat City Blend.  This is a very dark coffee.

It is the regular drip for Kick Butt.

It has a smoky caramel taste with hints of blueberry and blackberries.  It goes really well with a blueberry muffin, brings out the berry taste!

Katz just redesigned their website, so it’s easier to see what they have to offer.  I buy about 4 bags every couple of months.

Like I said, parenting takes lots of caffeine.

I recommend this coffee above all!  It’s also pretty price worthy.  A little cheaper than a pound will run you at Starbucks.

I also recommend that you invest in an Aeropress and a burr grinder, this is one of the best ways to drink coffee.

As always, follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.  As well as Snapchat: whatzername for extra recipes!

Friday I will be giving you a tour of one of my favorite local breweries!  It’s going to be very exciting!
