So, if everyone tired of pumpkin recipes right now?
I’m not, but I know a lot of my readers are, so I decided to come up with a new recipe for you that features the wonderful flavors of fall, but are not in any way related to pumpkins.
Sit back and relax- imagine that your house smells of brown sugar and cinnamon, the perfect fall smell.
I loae when my house smells like this, it makes me feel like it could always be fall in our household.
I told G the other day that our house will always smell like whatever season it is thanks to me cooking so much.
He said, “What? Like Starbucks?”
I laughed really hard.
Those smells are not only the first thing you think about when you here fall, but you taste them. You savor them, because it just seems wrong to eat them the rest of the year.
I have made you cupcakes.
Specifically, I have made you Salted Caramel Apple cupcakes.
I came up with the recipe when I was walking home from the Ferry Building the other day. I needed something to showcase on the blog that was seasonal, but not overplayed.
These cupcakes turned out to be one of the best things that I have made in such a long time.
They were fluffy, the frosting was tasty, and best of all, they were mini.
The Salted Caramel Apple cupcakes were so good that, during a girls day yesterday, a friend ate 5 of them in one day.
I can’t say that I’ve been any better at staying away from the wonderful flavors.
I have eaten 1 or 2 for breakfast since I made them.
