I was trying to figure out the most festive alcoholic drink that I could make this week and I realized, pumpkin season isn’t over yet.
Especially pumpkin pie.
That is a staple at every Thanksgiving dinner around the country, so why not make it a staple for your drink as well?
I know what you’re thinking, eww.
But not really. It is one of the best drinks that I have ever made.
It does take a little effort because you have to roast and pureé a pumpkin, but luckily, you can make your pumpkin pie with the rest of the pureé while you drink your pumpkin pie martini.
My friend, Becca, casually mentioned that this would be a fantastic drink, but I didn’t really know how it was going to turn out until I made it and took my first sip.
This martini was perfect. (I hope you read that as slow as I said it in my head.)
It tasted just like a pumpkin pie.
I mean, that is what I was going for, right?
But it surprised me, I thought I would have to try over and over again until I finally got it right.
I got it right after 2 tries.
You have no idea how proud of myself I am.
