Orange Gin Slushie

I know most of you guys, it is hot as heck out there.

I was talking to my mom and she said it was in the upper 90s in Texas.  I can’t believe I used to live in that kind of heat, I can barely handle the 70s in California.

I needed something refreshing, in all senses of the word.  I really wanted a slushie like when I used to live in Texas, but not quite like a margarita.

I’m kind of tired of tequila right now.

You know what I’m not over?

Gin.

I love gin.

I especially love Distillery 209 gin from here in San Francisco.

I will eventually write a blog on my adventures there.  It’s been a while, but I still remember it like it was yesterday.  Doesn’t help that I took a ton of notes on it!

I knew that I wanted something citrusy with the gin.

I have a ton of oranges left over from a retreat that I catered a couple of weeks ago.  So, it was perfect, fate-driven, even.

I blended the gin, the orange juice, and a ton of ice together to create an awesome orange slushie.

Perfect to beat this summer heat.

Ingredients

  • 1 shot Gin
  • Ice
  • 3 Oranges juiced

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients together

I am so proud of myself, I made 3 blogs this week, not my usual 4, but I’m getting back into it.  I’m about to go back into my schedule so that I can just jump back into where I used to be.

It’s going to be fun balancing the private chef work, catering, and the blog.  I’m hoping that I will be able to work it all out.

What is something that you want to see on the blog?
