Why I love the El Gato Malo French Press and How to Use It
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.
As a mom, I am always drinking coffee. My go to is usually my AeroPress, but that only provides one cup of coffee at a time. Sometimes I really need something that makes a few more cups than that.
This is why I jumped at the opportunity to review El Gato Malo French Press.
So here are the facts:
It’s a 4 cup, stainless steel French Press.
It is dishwasher safe.
It’s a decent price for a French Press.
Here are my opinions:
I really enjoy the fact that it’s stainless steel. I get more of the natural oils from the coffee, which gives the coffee a better flavor.
I have been using my favorite coffee in it every day for the past two weeks and I can really get the nuttiness of my coffee, which I am unable to get in just a drip machine.
I really like the fact that it is a 4 cup press, it helps me to really get my kick in the morning.
You knew that I was the long lost daughter of Lorelei Girlmore, right?
I love how easy it is to make my coffee in the morning and it only takes a few more minutes that doing a drip coffee.
I absolutely love that it is dishwasher safe, it saves me on cleanup in the morning. I’m a mom, I will take anything that makes my life easier.
My only big complaint is that I wish it were insulated so that my coffee were still warm when I’m drinking the last cup. I may drink 4 cups in the morning, but I drink it in an hour, not 20 minutes.
Have you ever used a French Press?
Well, let me teach you a little bit on how to use it, so that you can go to amazon and buy this wonderful product.
Either get your beans ground coarse or use your grinder to grind it coarse.
Use 4-6 Tbs of coffee per 4 cups and how strong you want it
Warm the water to just before boiling, you don’t want it boiling or it will burn your coffee and it will be burnt.
Pour ½ the water in and stir- this releases the oils and really allows the coffee to bloom
Pour the rest of the water in and allow to open for 5-6 minutes
Press down slowly so that it really pushes the oil in
Now you know how to make the perfect cup of coffee!
