Classic Cocktails- Mojito
It’s week 2 of our classic cocktails.
I am making you guys so many classics that you’re not going to know what to do with it.
Sorry, I’m a bit on the hyper side while typing this. I am making one of my favorite alcohol recipes in the world.
I love mint and there is something about mixing the mint with the rum that really hits your tastebuds right.
I remember the first time that I made a mojito, I was working for this bar and restaurant in Texas as a bartender. I had no idea what this cocktail was, let alone how to make it.
That’s why the cell phone was invented I think.
To look up things that you don’t know how to make.
Well, I made it for the customer and tasted it.
I loved it. I never thought that I would like it. I was convinced that I wasn’t a rum drinker, at that point in my life, but I loved it.
- 1 shot of white rum
- 1/2 lime juiced, the rest cut into chunks
- 8-10 mint leaves
- 1 tbs white sugar
- Club Soda
- Muddle the mint leaves, lime juice, and white sugar in a shaker
- Add rum and ice and shake for 10 seconds
- Pour into a hall ball glass with chunks of lime
- Top with club soda and garnish with a lime
Are there anythings that you think you won’t like, but wind up loving?
