After being home for almost a week, we are now back to our regularly scheduled posts!
It’s been a really hard week, between jet lag and me being sick, all I’ve wanted to do is sleep.
But, now that I’m feeling a whole lot better, I decided it was time for a cocktail.
With Autumn just around the corner, it means that my favorite flavors are coming back, to celebrate I decided to make an Autumnal based drink!
Salted Caramel Apple Martini.
I know, it sounds as good as it was.
When I was coming up with this recipe, I was faced with a lot of questions, such as vodka or gin?
Apple juice or apple flavored liquor?
So many questions, so little time.
In the end, I went with Gin, apple juice, caramel, and of course martini glasses. Also, shaken not stirred.
Salted Caramel Apple Martini
- 2 shots dry gin
- 1 shot sweet vermouth
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1/3 cup melted caramel
- Sea Salt for rim
- In a martini shaker combine gin, vermouth, apple juice, 1/2 caramel, and ice
- Shake for about 1 minute
- Rim martini glass with left over caramel and salt
- Pour into glass
- Serve chilled
The flavor was so amazing, that I wanted to pour myself a few glasses not just one!
